As the head of ritual practice for Dharma INC (International Non-Dual Community) in Oakland, California, I offer a tapestry of traditional Tantric, Vedic and Yogic techniques presented with an orientation to modern time, place and circumstance.
I began studying Tantrik Ritual in 2005 when I signed up for the personal ritual course at a local yoga studio offered by Tantrik Lineage Holder Dharmabodhi and Tantrik Lineage Holder & Purohit (Vedic Priest) Sri Rama Ramanujacharya.
After I received Tantrik Initiation in 2006, when I received the name Shambhu, I spent many years practicing Tantrik Yoga, traveling to Thailand and Australia where I continued my ritual studies with the Acharyas there. I was given the
opportunity to become a traditional apprentice at Sri Matham Center for Ritual Studies in Australia, where I lived for more than three years. While there, I received Brahminical initiation into Vedic study and I dedicated myself to the learning and practice of ritual full time for the yoga community, the Orthodox Hindu Community, and many others with a deep desire to change.
Through the study and practice of ritual, I have discovered unlimited potential for lasting transformation. It became the gateway for the integration of inner alchemy into everyday life and situations. Today, I realize that the transformations that I have stabilised can all be traced back through moments of ritual, whether formal or not, that shaped who I am today.
It has been through the nurturing of my parents, the support of my community and the unconditional love of my Acharyas, that I have been able to embody such sacred knowledge in this life. After more than eight years of study and practice, it is now my honour and responsibility to give back to you by sharing the knowledge, performing impeccable rituals for all and tending the fire of loving awareness inherent in these traditions.
