Sandhi is a sanskrit word that describes an
experience where separation and unity meet. It is the space between. Apparent separation is dissolved into universal essence. We experience Sandhi in our lives by way of sunrise and sunset, falling asleep and waking, doors and windows, birth and death, etc.
The tantrik tradition uses the image of Shambhunatha Shiva as the symbol for this experience. Shambhu, in sanskrit meaning primordial bliss, has a body of luminous crystal white light. The undifferentiated light-energy of essence reflects in his crystal being and manifests as the five elemental lights of creation, bringing all manifestation into being.
When I recieved tantrik initation in 2006, I was given the name Shambhu by my Tantrik Acharya , and this principle has been the crux of my awakenings in ritual practice. I created this site as a Sandhi for the light of essence to manifest in the hearts of beings all over the world. May the vibrant lights of manifestation lead you to that awakening where unification abides.
